Elysium Magazine was excited to see the trailer confirming Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese reunite for their fifth collaboration, the Oscar seeking, The Wolf of Wall Street. The movie is based on the memoir by former banker Jordan Belfort, who spent 22 months in federal prison for manipulating the financial markets in the 1990s.

 

Already a infamous book, The Wolf of Wall Street tells us of Jordan Belfort in the 90s, the former kingpin of the notorious investment firm Stratton Oakmont and how he became one of the most infamous names in American finance: a brilliant, conniving stock-chopper who led his merry mob on a wild ride out of the canyons of Wall Street and into a massive office on Long Island. But we all know – nothing lasts forever…

 

Set to the thundering beats of Kanye West’s latest single, the clip shows DiCaprio throwing huge parties, flicking cash at FBI agents, walking around the office with a monkey – decadence of the money makers. Supporting DiCaprio are Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey and Jean Dujardin.
