This weekend sees the return of Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis) as the third series of Homeland comes to British screens. The new series picks up right from where the finale of season two left viewers and there are plenty of questions to answer.
Following the bombing of C.I.A headquarters, all fingers point to Brody as the prime suspect after the leak of his video confession from his aborted mission in season one. Now he is a man on the run after Carrie Mathison (Clare Danes) believes he is innocent of any wrong doing – even though it was Brody’s car that was detonated causing catastrophic fatalities on C.I.A home turf.
With Brody’s family now suffering the consequences of his supposed actions how will they cope now he’s left them? Jessica Brody (Morena Baccarin) just didn’t what to expect next from Brody but this tops the lot, while daughter Dana Brody (Morgan Saylor) had her suspicions all along but still had strong attachment to her father.
Homeland fans can expect to see Carrie’s neuroticism will reach new heights as question marks remain about her unorthodox methods and complicated love life with Brody. Just how will she explain Brody’s getaway? And what of Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin) who is left to pick up the pieces at the C.I.A after the bombing and the death of boss David Estes (David Harewood).
Homeland Season 3 is set to provide more thrilling entertainment this autumn and Elysium Magazine is very excited to see what is in store for Brody et al in the new series. With Season 3 already premiering in the US a week ago make sure to avoid the spoilers all over social media if you don’t want the plot given away.
Homeland Season 3 starts 9pm on Sunday 6th October on Channel 4
