The Look, The Feel

Lancaster London is set in a easily accessible part of London, situated just by Lancaster Gate station, it has a idyllic setting just by Hyde Park. It is also great for a stroll to the hustle and bustle of Bond Street.

Lancaster London itself is an iconic mid-century hotel, which offers world-class hospitality. Proudly distinct, this London landmark commands unrivalled panoramic views across the capital’s skyline. Afternoon tea is serviced within the Lounge Bar that is well set, attention to detail is apparent and it certainly is a favourite with residents. A great setting for a quiet drink with plenty of atmosphere to invite a guest.

The Main Event

The fantastic hosts were keen on setting the scene when it came to the afternoon tea, a very wide range of teas and coffees to select from. Every option is discussed to taste and you are invited to choose a couple of teas to try with distinctive tastes.

Once we were eased into the elegant lounge, set with our specialist teas, we got into the afternoon tea. A selection of the traditional Plain and raisin scones served warm, with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream, and a selection of cakes and pastries. They were a fantastic selection, all made on site and of great quality.

The Father’s Day afternoon tea does come with a interesting twist – Dad Favourites’ such as Mini beef burgers, Leek and stilton tarts, and Honey roast ham with English mustard sandwiches all make an appearance. A great take on the traditional afternoon tea for the discerning gent.

The mix of traditional afternoon tea and the dad favourites gave us plenty to tuck into. We were certainly satisfied.
