Like Captain America? Loved Thor? Miss Iron Man? Well you are in for a treat in April 2012 as Avengers Assemble hits the UK and is set to be one of the biggest movies of the year.

 

 

We are big fans of the Marvel movies – despite the addition of “Assemble” to the title the movie is looking great! Elysium Magazine can not wait to see Thor go head to head with Iron Man and then join forces to save the world.

 

 

The story starts as Nick Fury and the international agency S.H.I.E.L.D. bring together a team of super humans to form The Avengers to help save the Earth from Loki and his evil army.

 

Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who’s who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster.

 

The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast, which includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson.

 

The trailer (see below) is one of the most downloaded trailers of the year – even surpassing The Dark Knight Rises!

 

The Avengers is scheduled for release on 26 April 2012 in the UK in 2D and 3D. We can not wait!
