It’s very rare to witness James Bond without a timepiece on his wrist. Over the many films 007’s watch has helped him escape tricky situations, time ambushes to perfection and turn up to dates with hot women on time – all in the name of his country of course. New Bond film SPECTRE is no different to any other – his wrist is prime real estate for a divine timepiece and once again Omega has delivered the goods with the Seamaster 300.

This Seamaster 300 is the actual model worn by Bond in Spectre. It comes in a rugged stainless steel case with a black and grey striped mil-spec NATO strap. This timepiece is powered by the Omega Master Co-Axial calibre 8400 – one of the most innovative movements that is resistance to magnetic fields.

Taking a closer look at the timepiece, it features a slick black dial with a unique ‘lollipop’ seconds hand. In a nod to the original Seamaster 300, this version also includes a broad arrow hour hand with triangular hour markers. The bi-directional rotating bezel is also in black, this time made from polished ceramic. Interesting to note that this timepiece can also track any additional timezone in the world. There are also engravings of the ‘007’ gun logo on the strapholder, whilst ‘Spectre’ is featured on the caseback.

Since Goldeneye in 1995, Omega has been Bond’s watch of choice for 20 years now and there’s good reason why. The discerning gent has seen the Bond character and storyline evolve over time and so has his timepiece. This is one timepiece Elysium Magazine has on the Desire list as a priority.
