Has the longer, sunnier days left the discerning gent with a spring in his step? Don’t fight the feeling if it has, embrace it. Much like the seasons, food trends come and go but whenever they come in the form of a drink they tend to last a little longer. More so if it’s part of the discerning gent’s drinks cabinet which is why this month Elysium Magazine introduces Williams Pink Grapefruit Gin to the collection.

Part of the Chase Distillery, known for its expertise with vodka, Williams is the division specialising in gin and the introduction of a limited edition pink grapefruit variety comes just in time for the summer months when a refreshing G&T will be high on the orders list for many.

It’s said to be a field-to-bottle product made at Chase Distillery – claimed to be Britain’s only single-estate producer. The gin is created when the base spirit is infused with a range of eight traditional botanicals including juniper, orange peel, liquorice, elderflower and bitter almond. To earn the title of a gin, the spirit is then distilling onsite in a copper gin still with grapefruit and pomelo peels.

The result is a full-bodied gin with that refreshing character the spirit is known for. The nose is full of fragrant citrus which extends through to the palate with the grapefruit and notes of robust juniper. It’s a delicate balance of tartness with the botanicals which Elysium Magazine knows will be enjoyed on many a summer BBQ. Presented in a transparent bottle with hand-drawn grapefruit design – it’s also the picture of a summers’ day too.

Williams Chase Pink Grapefruit Gin is 40% ABV and available in 70cl bottles exclusively from Selfridges, RRP £47.99
